Dane LeAnna, RYT200
A native Eugenian, Dane currently attends the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as one of five recipients of the 2013-2017 Kenan Excellence Scholar Award. She will be graduating in 2017 with her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance.

Dane began her ballet training at the Eugene Ballet Academy at the age of 6. She has participated in numerous ballet intensive trainings in Oregon, Washington, Texas, and Missouri, and has performed extensively with the Eugene Youth Ballet and the Eugene Ballet Company. Continually battling with injuries as a dancer, Dane turned to yoga to help her rehabilitate, as well as strengthen her dancing. Following extensive foot surgery in January, 2015, Dane delved deeper into her yoga practice and graduated from ZenSpot’s Teacher Training Program in July, 2015.

At UNCSA, Dane teaches weekly yoga classes. She has always had a keen interest in human anatomy and physiology, and plans to continue teaching and studying yoga while pursuing a career in movement science, alongside dance. Dane is excited to combine her knowledge of dance and yoga, incorporating breath-work and self-reflection, to create and promote a balanced, wholesome lifestyle.
